Our last day in NYC, it’s safe to say we’d truly fallen in love with the city that never sleeps and could have spent weeks or even months exploring the ever changing and incredibly diverse big apple.
We spent the morning walking along The High Line, an old freight railway track suspended above the streets of lower Manhattan has now been converted into a public park and walkway. Leading from the Meat Packing district to West 34th street. It would be the ideal spot for a picnic in the warmer months and great spot for an afternoon walk. I love the way parts of the railway track have been left in place and trees have been planted around them. Once we finished walking along the High Line we walked back down to Chelsea Market to look around the market and grab a spot of lunch. We ended up dining at Creamline, Ollie had a Buffalo chicken sandwich which he proclaimed was the best chicken sandwich he’d ever had. I had Banana pancakes which were delicious! We then took a long stroll around West Village through to Soho and Little Italy where we happened to stumble upon lots of colourful graffiti I’d seen across my instagram feed in the months leading up to our trip. It was awesome to see it in the flesh and the scale of these incredible street artists work.
We made a quick dash back up to mid town for some souvenirs before grabbing a farewell slice of pizza from Joe’s Pizza, somewhere I’m determined to go back to on our next visit as it was so so good! New York, it’s safe to say that you truly stole our hearts this trip and we made some unforgettable memories. I can’t wait till our next trip to create even more!
